KINGS and UW representatives in Prague
On June 18th in Prague, delegations from UW and KINGS met to discuss plans for activities in the upcoming academic year. Administrative matters and possibilities of future programs were also considered.

Spring Lectures at Faculty of Physics UW
In April and May the Faculty of Physics UW hosted more lecturers from KINGS. They gave lectures on net-zero technology and thermal hydraulic simulation. The classes were held as a part of the Nuclear Collaboration Center project.

From May 12th to May 16th, FISA-EURADWASTE 2025 Conference and SNETP Forum 2025 took place. KINGS and NCC took part in this event as a Sponsor, sharing the idea behind NCC on a higher level.

New NCC lectures at Faculty of Physics UW
From January 8 to 17, 2025, the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw will host more lecturers from the KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS). They will give lectures on small modular reactors (SMRs), among other topics. The classes are being held as part of the Nuclear Collaboration Center.

Korean delegation visited FUW
On 14 November 2024, a Korean KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) delegation visited the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The talks focused on further teaching and research cooperation within the Nuclear Collaboration Center (NCC), which operates at our Faculty.

Delegation of the University of Warsaw on a visit to South Korea
On July 6-7, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, participated in the event the 1st V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resource Development. The meeting was organized in Seoul at the initiative of the President of the Kepco International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS), Prof. Ki-Pung Yoo, and was aimed at exchanging information and strengthening relations between the rectors and staff of the most important universities of the Visegrad Group countries involved in training workers for the nuclear sector and their Korean counterparts.

Memorandum on nuclear energy
On 25th March, the University of Warsaw signed the memorandum of understanding with KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS), Pusan National University (PNU) and Korea Nuclear Association for International Cooperation (KNA). The agreement with South Korean institutions will result in the founding of a European training center of nuclear energy at the UW’s Faculty of Physics.

Didactic cooperation with KINGS
On November 14, an agreement was signed between the University of Warsaw and the South Korean KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School. The cooperation will focus on training of specialists in nuclear energy.

University of Warsaw students receive nuclear power training in South Korea
Students from the UW Department of Physics are taking part in the Nuclear Youth Capacity Building Summer, a two-week summer school dedicated to nuclear power development. The project, organised by the Kepco International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) in Ulsan, South Korea, is aimed at supporting the university in the process of training human resources for the Polish nuclear power programme.
