Delegation of the University of Warsaw on a visit to South Korea

On July 6-7, the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, participated in the event the 1st V4-ROK University Presidents Forum for Nuclear Industry Human Resource Development. The meeting was organized in Seoul at the initiative of the President of the Kepco International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS), Prof. Ki-Pung Yoo, and was aimed at exchanging information and strengthening relations between the rectors and staff of the most important universities of the Visegrad Group countries involved in training workers for the nuclear sector and their Korean counterparts.

Memorandum on nuclear energy

On 25th March, the University of Warsaw signed the memorandum of understanding with KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS), Pusan National University (PNU) and Korea Nuclear Association for International Cooperation (KNA). The agreement with South Korean institutions will result in the founding of a European training center of nuclear energy at the UW’s Faculty of Physics.

University of Warsaw students receive nuclear power training in South Korea

Students from the UW Department of Physics are taking part in the Nuclear Youth Capacity Building Summer, a two-week summer school dedicated to nuclear power development. The project, organised by the Kepco International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) in Ulsan, South Korea, is aimed at supporting the university in the process of training human resources for the Polish nuclear power programme.
