New lectures at the Faculty of Physics
We would like to invite all students of Nuclear Energetics major to participate in the new lectures organised withing the NCC initiative. The upcoming lectures this semester include Global Energy Business – New Nuclear Build, lead by one of the most experienced experts in the field of nuclear energy, Prof. Kisig Kang from KINGS (KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School), but also a short series of lectures concerning the culture of Korea, lead by professors from UW (University of Warsaw) Faculty of Asian And African Studies.
Korean Culture
First, the Korean Culture Basics - a practical guide for students lectures will take place. This series of lectures consists of five modules, each touching on a different subject connected to the Korean Culture, such as history, art or language, and it is supposed to help students understand Korean culture better, if they wish to participate in exchange programs in KINGS at some time in the future. The classes will take place on Fridays 17:00-19:30, in room B0.14. Specific dates are as follows:
October 24th, November 7th, November 14th, November 21st and November 28th.
The written exam will take place in the first weeks of December, date is yet to be confirmed.
Global Energy Business
The Global Energy Business – New Nuclear Build lectures will take place in late November and December, specific dates are yet to be confirmed. The lectures will touch on the reality of nuclear build sites and nuclear power, with plenty of field-related knowledge and examples. Professor Kang has over 35 years of experience in various aspects of review of infrastructure, prefeasibility and feasibility study, engineering and construction management. He gladly shares his experience with students. The lectures will take place from November 24th to December 13th. Specific dates are yet to be confirmed.
