KINGS and UW representatives in Prague
A meeting between representatives of the KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) and the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw took place in Prague on June 18, 2025. The meeting aimed to summarise the current cooperation and discuss plans for the upcoming academic year. Administrative matters and possibilities of future programs were also considered. The meeting was attended to by Prof. Krzysztof Turzyński - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics at UW, Prof. Agnieszka Korgul - Coordinator of the Nuclear Energy Program at UW, and representatives of KINGS: Prof. Juyoul Kim, Prof. Kisig Kang, Prof. Keungkoo Kim, Eun-young Kim, Eun-so Jang, Cheol-sung Cho, as well as Markéta Zavolarová from NCC at Brno University of Technology.
During the meeting, the representatives discussed various topics, starting with the summary of the collaboration up to this date. They discussed previously given lectures by KINGS Professors and agreed on continuting them in the academic year of 2025/2026. UW NCC website was also discussed, as CTU (Czech Technical University) and BUT (Brno University of Technology) NCC websites are planned to be developed.
Eventually, the discussion took a turn forward and the representatives agreed upon continuing the current educational model in the first semester of the upcoming academic year. Possibility of a joint research collaboration, as well as a regular monthly webinar series, were also discussed.
Both parties expressed great satisfaction in the current shape of their collaboration and discussed future plans in detail.
