Pusan National University (PNU) is Korea’s first national university, having been established on May 15, 1946. The Department of Korean Language and Literature at PNU is a long-established department that has been in existence since the opening of the University, and studies and researches Korean language and Korean literature as academic subjects. The department aims to foster students with analytical skills and creativity in language and literature, as well as critical perspectives on human life and cultural forms, and conducts academic research in the field of national studies for the development of humanities and educational practice through human bonds between professors and students. After graduation, students can work in various fields such as writing and publishing, as well as multimedia content development, simulation writer, and broadcast writer. They can also pursue a career as an educator.
