Lecture 2. Relations between Poland and Korea
The main goal of the second lecture is to familiarize students with the history of Polish-Korean relations. During the classes, Polish-Korean contacts will be presented from a historical perspective, before the establishment of diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries. The relations between Poland and Korea (Koreas) after 1948 will also be discussed.
Part I: Early relations between Poland and Korea
Participants will gain knowledge about historical contacts between Poland and Korea, including the first Poles to stay on the Korean Peninsula. The course will present the nature of interactions between Poland and Korea before the establishment of formal diplomatic and economic relations.
Part II: Relations between Poland and Korea after 1948
The general objective of this part is to present relations between Poland and Korea after 1948 and to discuss the nature of diplomatic, economic and cultural relations, as well as to provide basic information about the current state of relations between Poland and Korea, including recent events and future prospects.
