Lecture 3. Korean Art
The aim of the classes is to familiarize students with traditional Korean art and enable them to consciously interact with its examples, still present in museums and art galleries. The most important aspects of old Korean painting, sculpture and ceramics, their functions and the influence they have had on contemporary aesthetics will be discussed. Additionally, using the examples of monuments preserved in the urban space of Seoul and other cities in Korea, the features of traditional palace and temple architecture will be presented.
