This course explores diverse net-zero technologies, encompassing renewable resources, energy usage, and SMR, along with the evolving requirements for integrating them into power grids. The instructor will scrutinize various net-zero technologies and their technical prerequisites for integration, considering perspectives from both grid operators and renewable energy developers. Additionally, the instructors will deliver practical insights into relevant issues based on broad in-field experiences. Students will acquire a qualitative and quantitative framework for evaluating and analyzing energy technology systems and the evolving power grids in engineering and economic contexts.
