On 25 November 2025, the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw hosted a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Poland. The Korean guests met with the University’s authorities, the deans of the Faculty, and UW researchers. The discussions focused on the further development of educational and scientific cooperation within the NCC (Nuclear Collaboration Center).
Between 19 and 21 October 2025, students of the Nuclear Energy major and the Nuclear Reactor Physics specialization (Physics major) at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, accompanied by professor Agnieszka Korgul, took part in an educational trip to Brno. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with research infrastructure and the practical aspects of radioactive waste management in the Czech Republic – a country with a well-developed nuclear energy sector. The visit was possible thanks to the collaboration established through Polish and Czech NCCs.

We would like to invite graduate students and doctoral candidates interested in expanding their knowledge of nuclear energy to participate in a student exchange program between the University of Warsaw (UW) and KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) in South Korea, majoring in Nuclear Power Plant Engineering.

The upcoming lectures this semester include Global Energy Business – New Nuclear Build, lead by one of the most experienced experts in the field of nuclear energy, Prof. Kisig Kang, but also a short series of lectures concerning the culture of Korea.
Last Tuesday (September 9), the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague (FNSPE CTU) had hosted the official opening of the Nuclear Collaboration Center (NCC), established together with the KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS).

On June 18th in Prague, delegations from UW and KINGS met to discuss plans for activities in the upcoming academic year. Administrative matters and possibilities of future programs were also considered.
In April and May the Faculty of Physics UW hosted more lecturers from KINGS. They gave lectures on net-zero technology and thermal hydraulic simulation. The classes were held as a part of the Nuclear Collaboration Center project.
On May 16, KINGS held a local alumni gathering in Warsaw, Poland, bringing together Polish alumni who had previously participated in various KINGS HRD program.
From May 12th to May 16th, FISA-EURADWASTE 2025 Conference and SNETP Forum 2025 took place. KINGS and NCC took part in this event as a Sponsor, sharing the idea behind NCC on a higher level.
From January 8 to 17, 2025, the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw will host more lecturers from the KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS). They will give lectures on small modular reactors (SMRs), among other topics. The classes are being held as part of the Nuclear Collaboration Center.
On 14 November 2024, a Korean KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) delegation visited the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The talks focused on further teaching and research cooperation within the Nuclear Collaboration Center (NCC), which operates at our Faculty.
